For centuries, piano music for the left hand alone has been an intriguing genre. Far more than a mere curiosity, left-handed repertoire has attracted the greatest composers, from the Bach family to Brahms and Liszt, to Ravel, Hindemith, Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns and many more. The history of this genre is filled with tragic and inspiring stories, such as the great Paul Wittgenstein, a pianist who lost his right arm in World War I and continued his art as a successful left-handed pianist. Here, internationally award-winning pianist Coady Green presents a kaleidoscopic program of works by Brahms, Wagner, Yoshimatsu, Blumenfeld, Saint-Saëns, Hyde, and more.
