You will receive an email confirmation of your order once you press ‘finalise order’. We no longer issue hard-copy tickets for live performances held at the venue – your name will be checked off our door list on entry to the theatre with proof of confirmation email or credit card used for ticket purchase. Registration links for live-streamed, online events will be emailed to each ticket holder two days before the date of the performance.
Tickets purchased in advance via the fortyfivedownstairs website or box office do not incur a transaction fee (excluding American Express transactions which incur a 1.5% surcharge). Tickets purchased at the venue on the day of the performance incur a $1 per ticket surcharge.
refunds and transfers
Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged after purchase except as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice or if the relevant event is cancelled or rescheduled before the event, is significantly relocated, or if we are unable to provide you with the event in question.
Patrons unable to attend the venue due to Covid-19 symptoms should contact [email protected] or (03) 9662 9966 to notify of their inability to attend. Where possible, tickets may be exchanged to another performance of the same event, which can be used by the patron or a person nominated by the patron. Exchanges in this case will not incur exchange fees.
Latecomers may not be admitted into the performance space and exceptions are at the discretion of the production company. Please contact fortyfivedownstairs for details specific to the performance you have purchased. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded due to late arrival. We recommend that you arrive at the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the performance.
Proof of eligibility of concession must be presented to fortyfivedownstairs box office staff upon collection of tickets. Seniors cards are not a concession however, some shows offer a separate seniors price ticket. Please check options available on event pages, as they vary for each event.
Our online ticket service is connected in real time to our box office ticketing system. Tickets selected may become unavailable prior to finalising your transaction. In this event you will be given the chance to re-select alternative tickets or cancel your purchase.
There is no lift at the venue – entry from Flinders Lane is via two flights of stairs. For ground floor access to the theatre, please contact us as soon as possible for details.
