Following a highly acclaimed, sold-out season in 2018, Australian satirist and theatre icon, Max Gillies, returns to fortyfivedownstairs in Samuel Beckett’s remarkable duet for solo performer and tape recorder.
Once again, Gillies teams with award-winning director and long-time Beckett aficionado Laurence Strangio to present Beckett’s timeless evocation of memory, existence and lost love. The comic meets the tragic as Krapp, now in his 70th year, prepares for the last annual recording of his aspirations and disappointments.
‘It’s the kind of performance that draws you in the moment you sit down.’ The Age
