Tristan Lee

One of the few Australian musicians of his generation pursuing a successful career as a concert pianist in Europe, Tristan Lee returns to fortyfive downstairs for his yearly Melbourne recital. Once again, he will perform a diverse and challenging programme, this time featuring works by Mozart, Brahms and Liszt as well as Beethoven’s formidable masterpiece, the Appassionata Sonata.

Ahead of Tristan’s UK tour with his piano trio, culminating in a recital at London’s Wigmore Hall in October, this recital at fortyfive downstairs is your one chance in 2011 to hear this dynamic and distinctive young pianist play in his home town.
