Jenny Peterson Artist Talk

Jenny Peterson is holding an artist talk, speaking about her unconventional printing methods as well as sharing her extensive knowledge of printmaking learnt over her 30 years as a practising artist.

Prints of marred road signs and bake-ware make the basis of her extensive and remarkable body of work Souvenir which will be on display at fortyfivedownstairs until 16 February.

Peterson collects these broken road signs and  bake-wares, intervenes with their already scarred surfaces, and re-presents them as intaglio ink prints on paper.

In her artist talk Jenny will speak about these unusual practises and how placing the actual found objects within her printing press means she relies on the surface of these articles to provide her imagery.
