The Highly Strung Players return to fortyfivedownstairs with two new works by award-winning author Peter Rose, who founded this troupe more than thirty years ago. As always, the comedy is sharp, mordant and absurdist. The Players will be joined by Julian McCarthy on percussion.

The Siegfried Idyll – a duologue to be performed by Peter Rose and Claudio Bozzi – presents a long-time, seemingly contented gay couple contemplating the seismic repercussions of ‘a night at the opera’.

Lush Lyfe – a trilogue to be performed by Rose, Bozzi and Ellie Nielsen – takes three somewhat reluctant siblings to a nursing home called Lush Lyfe, where they wait endlessly for a glimpse of their parents.
