fortyfivedownstairs has accepted submissions from everyone for our first ever community-sourced small works exhibition, SMALL!

Continuing our tradition of supporting Melbourne’s arts community with innovative and original programming, we’ve opened up our large and small gallery spaces and filled them with anything and everything that comes our way.

The catch? Works are no larger than 20 x 20cm including any frames. This is a completely democratic exhibition with artists’ names not attributed to individual artworks, and each work able to be purchased for a mere $150.

fortyfivedownstairs is committed to creating opportunities through artist-driven programming, and SMALL! has allowed us to open our space to a new cohort of artists and makers.  We’ve filled our gallery with the creative endeavours of a wide range of contributors – over 250 artists and well over 500 individual artworks!
