Bagryana Popov is a Bulgarian-born award-winning director, actor and performance maker living and working in Melbourne. She has collaborated with acclaimed artists and communities around Australia and in Europe. Most recently her site-specific, durational version of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya was performed at Bundanon, co-produced by La Mama. Her award-winning project Progress and Melancholy was a physical theatre adaptation of The Cherry Orchard. She teaches theatre at La Trobe University.

Judith Armstrong taught the literature and culture of pre- and post-Revolutionary Russia at university level, and published five academic books. Leaving the university to write full-time, she has published fiction and non-fiction and written reviews and articles for newspapers, magazines and opera programs. In 2010 and 2011 she was commissioned to write stage-adaptations for the Stork Theatre. She has frequently been a guest on ABC radio, delivered many public lectures, and speaks at literary festivals, fund-raisers, libraries and book-groups.
