Cathy Drummond’s series of new work is a continuation of a compulsion to respond to the world around her, to our social landscape, as she reflects on what we see and pass through every day.

The subject matter is carefully selected, but is no more important than the act of painting and the consideration of colour, shape, spatial relationships and the development of a narrative, which often evolves as the painting progresses.
