fortyfivedownstairs fundraising raffle

Thanks to our generous friends, neighbours, and colleagues, fortyfivedownstairs is excited to launch a fundraising raffle for our 2024 EOFY campaign. Scroll through the list of over $8,000 worth of prizes below and support fortyfivedownstairs by purchasing a $30 ticket (or two or more tickets for $25 each) which will put you in the running to win any prize. There are a maximum of 1000 tickets available and if there are certain prizes you don’t wish to be eligible for, just email communications@fortyfivedownstairs.com and let us know. Additional prizes may be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets are not tax deductible, so you can opt to make a tax deductible donation instead or add a donation when purchasing tickets.

Raffle tickets will be on sale until 4pm, Tuesday 25 June. The winners will be notified by email that evening.

fortyfivedownstairs season double pass – valued at $1,800

Double passes for any or all shows at fortyfivedownstairs for a full year! We present an average of 20 shows per year, ranging from new Australian plays, classics, and the occasional musical, opera or cabaret. There’ll be something for all your friends and family! Valid from 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025.

La Mama season double pass – valued at $1,232

Our friends and independent theatre allies at La Mama have generously offered double passes + drink vouchers for all 14 of their Winter/Spring main season shows!

Original artwork by Robert Lee Davis – valued at $1,000 

Titled Historical References, this mixed media collage (with found objects, ink, acrylic paint, and pencil) refers to events, people, situations, or things that are considered to be a part of our history. The work (43 cm x 33 cm) is designed to be flipped around to provide a different perspective, and renowned artist Robert Lee Davis has generously offered to incorporate a personal item from the winner (a memory or photo of a special place) into the work.

Midsumma Festival VIP Pass – valued at $750

Always a great way to start the year, Midsumma has generously offered a prize pack that includes:

1 x VIP pass for Midsumma 2025
An invitation for one plus a guest to the program launch in late November this year (details TBC)
1 x double pass to a Midsumma Presents show

Theatre Works double pass for six shows – valued at $600

Following successful remounts of Theatreworks shows at fortyfivedownstairs last year – The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven by Jo Clifford and kerosene by Benjamin Nichol, we’re always excited to see what’s on at St Kilda’s hub for independent theatre!

A night at the Sofitel + tickets to a fortyfivedownstairs show – valued at $570

The ultimate date night! Enjoy a show at fortyfivedownstairs (with a complimentary bottle of wine) followed by a night’s stay at the luxurious and iconic Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. Valid from 1 July – 15 December 2024.

Cumulus Inc. voucher – valued at $300

Our neighbours at Cumulus Inc. have offered a $300 voucher to enjoy the renowned restaurant’s seasonal and healthy menu, celebrating the very best in Victorian produce.

*Cumulus Inc. has also generously offered fortyfivedownstairs patrons a 10% discount when enjoying a bite before or after a show when you present your booking confirmation.

The Fermentary workshop – valued at $290

Honoured with the prestigious Melbourne Food and Wine Legend Award in the category of Food Advocacy and Producer, Sharon Flynn (founder of The Fermentary) is offering a voucher to attend one of her workshops in the art of wild fermentation and creating artisanal ferments, plus a signed copy of her book ‘Wild Drinks’.

MTC’s Cost of Living double pass – valued at $240

With heart, humour, and searing observation, Martyna Majok’s Cost of Living is an honest and insightful look at the forces that bring people together. Melbourne Theatre Company is offering a double pass to the 14 October – 19 November season, directed by Anthea Williams and featuring Oli Pizzey Stratford (Neighbours) and Mabel Li (Safe Home).

Sister Act double pass – valued at $240

Following the recent announcement that Casey Donovan and Genevieve Lemon will star in the Australian premiere of the hit musical Sister Act, Crossroads Live has offered a double pass to the Melbourne season at the Regent Theatre from November 2024.

Wild Fire Wines package – valued at $200

Wild Fire Wines is a local small winery based out of the Warburton Ranges in Victoria with a goal to create exceptional wine at a fair price. They’re kindly offering six bottles of their top end wines.

Cloud Wine package – valued at $200

Peter and the Starcatcher preview double pass – valued at $158
