…a bridge between the land of illusion and our built environment, of the familiar and not so familiar places.
cCORDA represents a journey through the meditative motion of cutting and consequently assembling cardboard, added with corporeal presence of jute and hexcel paper within a confined, framed space. The essence of the composition is fully revealed when finally embalmed with chosen encaustic colour. Only now, away from chromatic discrepancies and distracting printed logos of packaging materials, the composition becomes solidified. Its true self unveiled.
Both two and three dimensional textures serve as a bridge between the land of illusion and our built environment, of the familiar and not so familiar places.
The study into cardboard and packaging material anatomy – texture, pattern, shape and proportion are integral part of our assemblage.
cCORDA’s enigmatic journey through composition, texture and colour invites participation.
