SHIT is coming back! This hard-hitting and exhilarating play, written by Patricia Cornelius and directed by Susie Dee, comes to fortyfivedownstairs after a sell-out season at MTC’s Neon Festival for Independent Theatre.
Meet Billy, Bobby and Sam. These girls don’t believe in anything. They’re mean, foul-mouthed, downtrodden, hard-bitten, utterly damaged women. They’re neither salt of the earth nor sexy. They love no one and no one loves them. They believe the world is shit, that their lives are shit, that they are shit.
Nominated for the 2016 Victorian Premiere’s Literary Award, SHIT asks, what of these women and girls who defy gender demarcations, who transgress the boundaries and restraints of social order and expectation?
SHIT is presented with the support of the RE Ross Trust
