The ocean seizes and reflects constant movement; chaos and the unfathomable, yet also stability and soothing tranquility. Taking its imagery from the waters of the Sunshine Coast, my drawing ‘this silence (just the sound of night)’ considers these idiosyncrasies as direct mirrors of the world we are at present collectively experiencing; one of uncertainty, turbulence, but still imbued with times of solace and optimism. My repetitive and time based drawing process informs my work in a way that allows me to mediate my own understanding of this; an attempt to coordinate thought and stabilize the disorder of the everyday.
