Have a back up plan just in case\, but we’ll do our utmost to fit anyone in that makes the effort to turn up! \nOnce upon a time a God believed that he could save an ancient city from ruin by bringing a dead poet back to life. And now the need has again arisen – Our world\, our city\, our neighbourhood – is in need of poetry and a great poet to save it. A leader\, an inspirer\, an orator. \nA unique theatrical take on Aristophanes’ ancient Greek masterpiece ‘The Frogs’\, Irine Vela has assembled an impressive array of performers and musicians to reveal the power and limitations of words and to wrangle the timeless question – Can the spoken word move and inspire. Can it change anything? \nFollowing its sell out debut season in Melbourne Writers Festival (2014).  Poetic License returns with the talents of Rod Quantock\, Grace Vanilau\, Ileini Kabalan\, Koraly Dimitriadis\, Maryanne Sam\, Piri Altraide\, Genevieve Fry (solo harp)\, Kevin Nugara aka Spitfire\, Dante Sofra and musicians Mulaim Vela and Pascal Latra. \nThe evening performances include a double bill with  Aria Award winners ‘The HaBiBis’ with Irine Vela\, Pascal Latra and Muliam Vela playing traditional and contemporary music from Greece\, Anatolia\, Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean. \n  \n11am performances are followed by a Q&A. \nClick here for a preview of the Poetic License performance \n [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Cast and Creatives” tab_id=”1452941644640-19a0de81-e87a0201-342dcb0a-2ec9a177-581a2513-a5c5a408-6dbf”][vc_column_text]Poets\, Performers and Musicians\nIrine Vela – Director\nRod Quantock\nDante Sofra\nGrace Vanilau\nIleini Kabalan\nIrine Vela\nKevin Nugara | Spitfire\nKoraly Dimitriadis\nMulaim Vela\nGenevieve Fry – Solo Harp\nPacalia Latra\nPiri Altraide\nMaryanne Sam\nMilad Norouzi\nMaryanne Lynch – Consultant Dramaturg\nAmanda Clarke – Costume Designer\nGina Gascoigne – Lighting Designer\n \nThe HaBiBIs:\nMulaim Vela\nIrine Vela\nPacalia Latra[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Ticket Prices and Concessions” tab_id=”1452941768731-94b426f3-57530201-342dcb0a-2ec9a177-581a2513-a5c5a408-6dbf”][vc_column_text]\nTicket Prices:\nFull: $35\,\nConcession: $25\,\nStudent Group 10+: $12 phone bookings only \nFor school group inquiries please contact the venue on (03) 9662 9966 or\nDavid from Outer Urban Projects on (03) 9350 6517 / 0424 100 895\nNO BOOKING SURCHARGE \n\n\nConcessions:\nPensioners/Full-time students/MEAA members \n\nPlease note:\n11am performances are followed by a Q&A | The haBiBis will perform during the 7pm shows only\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][vc_empty_space]Buy Tickets [/vc_column][/vc_row]
