A broken man\, about to leave his wife. A damaged woman\, struggling to stay intact. Broken entwines the stories of three complex lives as they unfold on a single fateful night in the heart of the Northern Territory’s desert country. \nWinner of the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Drama\, the Northern Territory Literary Award for Best Script and the Victorian Prize for Literature\, Mary Anne Butler’s poetic\, evocative play merges three complex lives to explore the idea of isolation; of each other\, of place\, of circumstance. \nPoetic\, visceral and extremely moving\, this haunting story of resilience and survival takes you into the heart of its characters and the Australian landscape\, offering up a devastatingly fresh look at our national identity. \nWrestling with matters of chance\, choice\, hope and fate\, it poses the question: When you find yourself empty\, how do you start again? \nThis Victorian premiere will feature Lyall Brooks\, Sophie Ross and Naomi Rukavina under the direction of Susie Dee. \n  \n‘This is exquisite writing. It’s immediate. It’s lean. It’s poetic. It’s visceral. It takes you right into the heart of the experiences it describes’ Andrew Bovell Playwright \n  \n \n  \nBroken is supported by both the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts\, its arts funding and advisory and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. \n  \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Cast and Creatives” tab_id=”1452941644640-19a0de81-e87a0201-342dcb0a-2ec9a177-581a2513-a5c51f1f-8993a3c4-5ca5cb85-3d54189f-4d6f8ba6-b9f14904-2972″][vc_column_text]Director: Susie Dee   \nCast: Lyall Brooks\, Sophie Ross & Naomi Rukavina \nDesigner: Marg Horwell \nLighting: Andy Turner \nComposition & Sound Design: Ian Moorhead \nAssistant Director: Julian Dibley-Hall \nProduction & Stage Manager: Cassandra Fumi \nProducer: Adam Fawcett[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Ticket Prices and Concessions” tab_id=”1452941768731-94b426f3-57530201-342dcb0a-2ec9a177-581a2513-a5c51f1f-8993a3c4-5ca5cb85-3d54189f-4d6f8ba6-b9f14904-2972″][vc_column_text]\nTicket Prices:\nPreview: $30\nFull: $39\nConcession: $34\nGroup 6+: $34 \nConcessions:\nPensioners/Full-time students/MEAA members \n  \nNO BOOKING FEE SURCHARGE[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][vc_empty_space]Buy Tickets [/vc_column][/vc_row]
