An extraordinarily erudite man of letters\, you have only to dip into his most recent book The Shock of Recognition\, to be both astounded and entranced by the breadth of his knowledge\, and the extent of his enthusiasms. \nSo this 84th birthday will celebrate his passion for music with the premiere of an especially commissioned string quartet\, by Stuart Greenbaum\, performed by the Flinders Quartet. And in honour of Barry’s equal passion for poetry\, some of the great actors who have appeared at fortyfivedownstairs will read their choice of poetry in his honour. Readers include Helen Morse\, Jillian Murray\, Paul English\, Rhys McConnochie and John Stanton.\n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Ticket Prices and Concessions” tab_id=”1452941768731-94b426f3-57530201-342dcb0a-2ec9a177-581a2513-a5c5299a-6bdc”][vc_column_text]\n*SOLD OUT*\nTicket Prices:\nFull: $42\,\nConcession: $38\,\nSeniors: $38 \nNO BOOKING FEE SURCHARGE \nConcessions:\nPensioners/Full-time students/MEAA members[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][vc_empty_space]Buy Tickets [/vc_column][/vc_row]
