That may seem a while ago but it won’t when it happens to you. And it will happen to you… that’s what I’m here to tell you.’ \nFollowing the continuing success of L’amante anglaise\, Green Room Award winners Jillian Murray and Laurence Strangio re-join forces to present Joan Didion’s remarkable memoir\, The Year of Magical Thinking – a highly personal account of loss through the lens of hope. \nAdapted by Didion from her award-winning memoir\, The Year of Magical Thinking unpacks a surreal and overwhelming time in her life\, as she faces the loss of her husband John\, and a year later\, her daughter Quintana. It’s a play about language\, the tension between what is said and what is not said. \n‘This is yet another fine – and\, if you like\, ‘magical’ – performance from Jillian Murray’ Stage Whispers \n  \nThe Year of Magical Thinking is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French\, Inc.\, and Concord Theatricals Company \n  \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Cast and Creatives” tab_id=”1568859693294-42c574df-a750″][vc_column_text]Performer: Jillian Murray \nDirector: Laurence Strangio \nLighting Design: Andy Turner \nSound Design: Darius Kedros \nSound Design Intern: Emmanuel Cundasamy \nWardrobe: Sophie Knox\n \nPhotography: Jodie Hutchinson \nPublicity: Cameron Lukey \nCollateral Design: Daniel Lammin[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Program” tab_id=”1572321633268-c03b1ad8-596f”][vc_column_text]Please download a copy of The Year of Magical Thinking program here. \nfortyfivedownstairs is going paperless!
