With $3000 of prize money on offer\, our special guest judge will select two submissions that best demonstrate originality and innovation. \nAt fortyfivedownstairs we showcase independent\, experimental and thought-provoking visual art. The Emerging Artist Award 2016 is an opportunity to examine emergent trends in the contemporary art scene whilst allowing young artists to gain exposure in a professional setting and kick-start their careers. \nSUBMISSIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 6 MAY 2016\, 5PM \nCLICK HERE for the submission form.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Submissions” tab_id=”1451285630325-09def419-bb74b1db-6de1a0bd-17e6″][vc_column_text]CLICK HERE for the submission form. \nSUBMISSIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 6 MAY 2016\, 5PM \nSome more details… \n\nEntrants must be between the ages of 18 – 30\nThe Award is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents\nOne entry per artist\nArtworks must be complete at the time of submission\nSuccessful entrants must provide materials and relevant equipment to install their artworks\nAll artworks must be available for sale\n(15% commission payable to fortyfivedownstairs on all sales)\nEntrants must submit this form along with a one-page supporting statement\, an artist CV and up to 3 high-resolution images of the artwork via USB or good quality print\nPost to: 45 Flinders Lane\, Melbourne 3000\, or email to info@fortyfivedownstairs.com (NB. electronic images must be no larger than 5MB in total)\nEntrants submit their work with the knowledge that they are committing to the below dates:\nDeadline for submissions: Friday 6 May 2015\, 5pm\nArtwork delivery: Sunday 19 June 2016\, 12pm – 3pm\nExhibition: 21 June to 2 July 2016\nUnsold works collected: 2 July 2016\, 4pm – 7pm\nThe judge’s decision regarding the award recipient is final\nFinal artworks must be no larger than 1m²\nOnly successful entrants will be notified\, and physical proposals cannot be returned\nSuccessful entrants will be required to pay a $20 bond (cash)\, recoverable at collection on 2 July 2015\n\nThe final decision regarding eligibility of works resides with fortyfivedownstairs. All works must be in sound condition on arrival. fortyfivedownstairs reserves the right to withdraw shortlisted works if deemed unsuitable for display. Due care will be taken whilst the works are at fortyfivedownstairs.
