The imagery is symbolic and informed by her 6-week residency in Athens and Skopelos\, Greece\, where she set out to investigate cross cultural symbols of fortune\, mythology and history. Inspired by a range of influences during the residency including ancient Minoan ceramics\, Byzantine paintings\, site-specific folkloric tales and ancestral stories\, she has produced a suite of images that offer the viewer an insight into the artistic process from initial ideas to experimentation\, synthesis and generation of works; moving from flux to stasis and back again. \nJosephine Fagan is a cross disciplinary artist and educator\, practicing since 1999.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][/vc_column][/vc_row]
