What if you could relive the most important moments in your life, over and over, to see how things could have turned out differently?
As heartrending as it is beautiful, Constellations is Nick Payne’s gloriously romantic award-winning hit, with London Productions earning both the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play in 2012, and the 2022 Olivier Award for Best Play Revival.
Constellations is the story of Marianne and Roland, two lovers whose relationship we explore through the lens of infinite parallel universes. They meet at a barbeque and hit it off, or maybe they don’t. Maybe they go home together, or maybe they part ways. Maybe they say the right thing at precisely the wrong time, or maybe they say the wrong thing in exactly the right way. The result is a rich, compelling, and poignant love story that ponders on the power and preciousness of human connection in a seemingly random universe.
Artefact Theatre Company’s Matthew Cox directs this beautiful new production starring Mark Yeates (Much Ado About Nothing, Mr Burns) and Bridie Pamment (The Real Inspector Hound).
Constellations is set to be a captivating and intimate night of theatre for anybody who’s ever reflected on a love they take for granted, or one that got away.
